i got one my buddy built for me a few years back, i wish i had pictures of it, (its at my folks in storage), but its built out prolly im guessing 4x2" 1/4 inch thick steel tubing roughly. I actually never finished it, I need to get the hardware for the adapter plate, the "feet" at slide to attach and add some heavy duty casters.

Guys.... I have seen Towcats spit and I'll tell you its something to behold. That gear box on the end allows you to rotate the engine by just cranking the tiny handle. It is important when installing an engine in any stand that you plan ahead what you will be doing. Once you start hanging parts on a block it gets heavy and out of balance centers. Then you can't turn the block to do any work where its facing you. What I do is center the bare block a little high towards the top side. Then I install the crank. Then the pistons and rods. Then the oil pump and pan. Then its interesting how close you get it to balanced center. Slowly roll the block till one head to block surface is level to you. Prep the surfaces, install the gasket, head and bolts or studs. Now rotate the block and do the other side being careful of all the weight from the out of balance side with the head on it. Then install the remaining head. Stick in the cam, lifters, pushrods, rockers on both sides. Torque down. Install the anti rotation dog bones and retainer in the valley and your done or really near to it....:sly
