Why doesn't anyone love red interiors? I LOVE red interiors....even though I am keeping the original gray interior from my F250, so this cab will go from a top of the line XLT lariat red interior, to a super basic Custom interior

Why doesn't anyone love red interiors?

its just a presonal preference for me. Just not my color. Now if I could just find a grey passenger side door pull/armrest my interior would be in great shape.

X2 on red interior, i already had a good grey lariet interior i coulda put in my truck. But i like red so i made the trip to easy-pull just to get a good red one, i just like it..

Well, It's too late for that truck...

But for the CA guys dealing with a truck with years of back reg and fees; There is a very simple way to get around the fees.

When I was living out there (about a year ago) and bought my 86, it was around 3 years out of reg, and they wanted an insane amount in back fees (over $1000). The nice guy working at the DMV told me to go back to the PO, and have him fill out the Non-Op paperwork and backdate it to the day the reg expired. I went back to the DMV (different clerk) with my title and that piece of paper, and all I had to pay was the back registration cost, NO FEES.

As long as the PO gives you a filled out and signed Non Op slip dated before the reg expired, you don't pay any fees; it was on the PO to deliver that paperwork, and that way the fees don't follow to you.

the state of california is broke from all the handout programs.
anybody who has money is getting hit in the wallet.
many of the old loopholes don't work anymore when it deals with the state loosing potential revenue.

The state is very aggressive with revenues now for sure....no breaks anymore.

I'm not talking 10, or even 5 years ago; It worked about a year ago, and they were plenty aggressive then. I've still never met anyone else that heard of it, and I wouldn't have if not for the guy working at the place.

Before just saying no way, give it a shot next time. Nothing lost in trying.

Sure I will give it a whirl, but my intentions were to always part this one for the record. The body was overly clean, but i had a crew cab with a worn out engine. Any i have another crew cab that needed the hypermax turbo. Plus all the other parts that went into the fleet also. I always have at least one parts truck on hand. I prefer it to be a brick nose or OBS, they are more compatible with my fleet then this one was. The turbo and low mileage engine were worth it still though. If it were a 4x4, I would have saved it, but not a 2 wheeler.

I hate to see rust free trucks getting crushed

but I know it's par usual for you guys out there, same as crushing a complete Model A or Model T here is no biggie

hell, last week I crushed a couple flood vehicles, passed a guy on the way out with a '31 Model A pickup and a '39 IH K2 pickup he was gonna crush, I *********** with him, and passed on buying them from him for the scrap price

if I want one, I'll cruise the dirt roads and ask a farmer to give me a bill of sale when I pull it out of the tree row and haul it away for him
