No drive train in the beast at this point, it lives in many other vehicles now. The body on this one was like brand new still but it had back reg. It was really nice, but not worth the trouble in the end. To bad for this old beauty....

Ya I know, sorry. Can't save them all though...glad I don't work at the animal shelter or I would have house full of dogs. Notice the electric oven in place of the engine for added scrap weight. Take a guess as to how much she netted me in cash at the scrapper as is in the pic? Engine, trans and interior are gone. Bed and cab full of small pieces of scrap, plus the oven in the engine compartment.

Ouch! Sometimes you can't even give them away. I had a 1981 Blazer that I had on Craigs for 2 months for free. No bites- so I cut it up for scrap.

Back reg is registration. When anyone falls behind a year in registering with the state the fees quickly jump to $500 about per year for 3/4 ton and up. Trucks out three years can hit $1000 fast just to get your tags. This one was out about 1.5 years when I tore it down. Scrap is only $200 in Gilroy, it's anywhere between $240 and $280 in San Jose but that adds another 2 hours round trip so I decided on the $200, not time to go up there when doing stuff like this. Therefore I netted $504 as you see it.

G.W.- Come on out and get some Cali sheet metal, there is plenty to go around, it's not uncommon to see a 65' mustang on the road in perfect shape here. I look for classic cars being a car guy, and there are no shortage of there here on the road.

that is just plain stupid!why not register it in another state and wait a month or so before registering it there?we do it all the time for titles here.everything has to have a title here.find someone willing to do it and youre good.
