....so I order new injectors from Mel last week...today I get two batteries hook them up to crank it before I put the injectors in. Finally cranks and oil pressure is low so I think I just put a new oil pressure sending unit on it so I check there and nope not leaking then I see the puddle.... Yep on the drivers side....anybody wanna guess.....?:D...:backoff... Now I need new orings...Napa?

I'm gearing up to do an oil cooler reseal for a buddy of mine at work, I think he's bought O-rings already. Don't want to jinx myself too badly, but mines holding up ok right now. Great time for a coolant flush and oil change, should you be coming due.

If it was a gas car I'd tell you to capture the oil, but diesel oil in my experience seems to turn black almost immediately upon being exposed to the inside of a engine. It may still be worth capturing, I just hate cleaning up afterwards.

Keep it, filter it, and throw it in the tank!!! WMO for life!!

If I could run my 5.0 on WMO I would!

There is nothing wrong with black oil. We have plenty of soot blowing by the rings so our oil turns black very fast. That does not mean its used up. Save it and run it. you posted it has 500 miles on it. If you throw it out well then next time run new oil for 500 miles and change it too because its dirty looking.. See where I'm going here guys. Every see oil that has 200,000 miles on it and the oil tests say its still doing a good job...
