I just bought a 2006 ram 2500/Cummins. It came with a bullydog tuner which I know nothing about. Can anyone shed some light. I don't even know what model tuner it is. Its black with grey buttons. It says initializing communication and you cant do anything with it. This is treading new territory for me as my other truck was just a 7.3 idi. Also what oil and coolant do these like? I was running rotella 15w40 and fleetcharge in the 7.3

The oil should be fine.
I would get rid of the bullydog.
I'm not sure on what's "good" for cummins. But I know efi live is good. And I know bully dog is junk. Lol

I've always heard ts and smarty chips are best for cummins. That oil and coolant should be fine

I'm in the same boat. Just traded in my 01 7.3 truck for a 06 Cummins. Kinda freaked out after reading about failing injectors etc. Just ordered a aux. filter setup from Vulcan.
