Isn`t your humidity kind of high right now...
like several feet of it?

Goat

That's what I was talking about.
Hurricanes don't do that where I live. You're both suffering from the image and idea that all of Florida is a beach, I live in the lowest actual inhabitable part of the United States. There is no habitatable land below I-10 or Tallahassee, the people that do choose to live below those areas lack a certain..... well...... I'll stop before I say what I "really think". Where I live in more like lower Alabama and Georgia, the real natives are poor whites just like me. Anyhoo, I do feel sorry for those that are thrashed by the hurricanes, and I feel sorrier for the people like me that live in areas that might get hurricanes but aren't desimated by them and that their insurance premiums will quadruple because.......those people......decide to live in uninhabitable swamp land......but what do I know.....I'm..... well, I'll quit now.

floor mats and riding mowers?
I'm actually done with riding mowers right now, I've done them for so long that I'm just burnt out on mowers. I've almost broke the habit of watching for broken mowers in backyards, but it's tough not to. I have a mental map of the tricounty area and where all the broken mowers are that I can't shake. I almost asked a lady yesterday about one, I had to "talk myself off the ledge" not to ask her, lol.

HEY!!!, so the tow truck is to the place where it's time to lay it up and contemplate freshening up the engine with rings and gaskets, maybe an IP, etc etc, blah blah blah......but in my contemplating I got to thinking about selling the wrecker body off of it. There's several reasons why,

#1- insurance is stupid
#2- the bed is really too heavy for a regular F350 and should have been put on a F-Super Duty or larger.
#3- the frame is crazy rusted
#4- the wrecker body is worth more without the truck attached
#5- etc. etc. etc.
#6- it just hasn't been profitable, since I'm not in the official tow truck business.

So, what do you oil burners think? Does a Century wrecker body have value outside of scrap metal? Do people buy this stuff? Are any of you interested in it? If a tree fell in the woods and landed on a mime, would anyone care?

Thank you in advance for your consideration of these deep philosophical questions!!!

To tell everything would probably land me in A LOT of hot water so I try to stick to the subjects at hand.

I'm sure that someone would want it. You might have to hold onto it for a while in this economy before it sells. I say take it off the truck and just keep advertising it.

Not me personally. I saw a 1984 tow truck with a 6.9 listed for what seemed like a reasonable price a while back. I passed on it because I couldn't see how it would have paid for me to buy and try to use it.

Well that depends, does this hypothetical mime drive a Chevy? :rotflmao

Those vacuum tube amps are the best for guitars.
Had a customer that was a studio player then toured with a couple big name groups that I've forgotten whom, he had the entire bottom third floor in his home dedicated to music, a bunch of different guitars from different bands, etc.
Two of his prize possessions were a couple of tube amps that were made to order for individuals.
The magnetic amp and spacing in the vacuum tubes made the cleanest sound.
Even now, my older Harmon Kardon AVR out performs my newer Denon hands down.
Crank it up to anything past 100db and there's no comparison.
