Well thats a fine way to fix someone else mess. Glad you have it repaired and running. Did you use anti sieze on the injecter body threads.. What was the torque. Hope it was at least 35 lbs factory but a little more is no problem. 60 and above will be an issue later on...

Yes, anti-seize on the threads and a tiny bit on the washer. Torqued every thing down to 35lbs. I had already found threads explaining all that before I started. It really is a simple job if everything just works like it's supposed to.

BTW, the return line kit that comes from Russ has some super **** slinky braided line! None of that coiled up garden hose stuff torquing on the caps.

Also, the old injectors were off-white/gray Stanadynes and off to one side "11 - 93" is stamped in them. Since my truck is a '94 are these the original OEM injectors? Or is is just a coincidence?

Interesting thread, I had the same thing happen, #3 was so carboned had to use a breaker bar to fully unthread and pet injector out, #2 injector unthreaded I had bad thoughts bit removed spring and needle removed, had my shop machine the upper threads off the injector,got home screwed the injector together and just pulled out, a huge relief, I have a dremel with extendable cable and a small wire brush to clean the bores, I'm just glad to hear I'm not the only one with this kind of luck everyone I try and do something, lol

So yes, my injectors were the original set from the factory. The two numbers are the week and year the injector was manufactured. I guess it didn't do too bad for 20 year old injectors. At least it was still running. But it explains why the were carboned up so badly.
