I just replaced my turn signal switch with that same part. Make sure the screw at the 9 o clock position is turned down and the two light blue wires have clearance from the back of the wheel. After installing it I kept burning a fuse and didn't realize that the assembly was sticking out a few mm too far forward. The wheel and unbundling takes the longest but it's an otherwise straightforward task.
I just messed with it again...everything is seated etc but the top/right turn signal hook does not grab as should. Now if I remove the little centering leaf - spring then at times it barely hangs on.
I've wasted too much time messing with it and ordered the entire switch from Rock Auto.
However, I'll be a little more that disappointed if the new unit (right hook) barely grabs too.

I tried to do the repair kit in mine a couple years back and that worked like crap. I ended up buying the new assembly from Autozone and all was well but I had to cut the big plug off the end and rewire it, it wouldnt fit down through the column as one piece.

Installed the entire switch, wires and all part#SM66F (shee-Mar) and it works great > full 'hook engagement'...I just hope the darn thing lasts.
From Rock Auto called (oe-pro) to my door $38,00 and they credited my CC for $13 for the 'cam' that didn't work > way to go Rock Auto...you earned a new customer! ;Sweet

BTW...through Rock Auto this part has a 2-year warranty!
