Knuckledragger
blowing chunks and grabbing porcelain
So I pull into work on Monday and I notice that the truck was not in it's regular place behind the locked gate. My first thought was, "where did I leave the truck?" And then remembered that I wasn't driving it this weekend. Then I thought that my son or a buddy was using it. Then I noticed that the lock on the gate was gone.
So all of the work I did to rebuild the engine and transmission, fixing the brakes and polishing the wonderfully straight body (ask icanfixall, he's seen it) was for nothing. An entire year of writing letters and getting paperwork straightened out between Virginia and California with the help of a widow and her daughter. Some rat decided it was too good for me to keep. The cruise control worked like a charm. I'll never know about the A/C, it hadn't been charged yet. I put 1000 miles on that truck. That's it.
Well, the skunk will have the smoothest running 6.9 in gangland or Mexico or wherever it went. I am seriously bummed and have so many other parts in the shop that I never installed. I hope I never find out who did it, because my first reaction is to plug him and feed him to the fish. But that's not right, it was only a truck. But it was my truck.

Came out from getting cleaned up only to discover the truck, trailer and load gone. just plain gone. Reported it stolen. Got a call from BP two days later asking me questions. Turns out they went across with a completely bogus shipping manifest and the stolen report was just recieved by BP.....yee haa.
if someone ever touched my scout and i caught them i'd be locked up for a very long time b/c i'd give them a few doses of lead....
