intake tubing ?

Dryer duct has worked great for me now for many years. I don't know why it collaspes on some of you guys rigs. Mine just continues to suck air and works fine. Maybe a restriction causes some to suck flat...

i went to lowes today and returned the dryer vent stuff and got some downspout adapters. i will post pics of my set up on monday.

It was a very worth while modification.

Nope... Its a worthless modification. Your trying to get more air into the engine right... Well ford did us wrong by squeezing that air intake down just under the hook... Honestly its a good idea what your doing. Opening up the air intake will help the engine breath what it needs. No if you can say force feed it more air...... That would wake the dead too....

i know the factoy air box is restrictive and there is nothing i can do about it short of making a custom intake set up. i did think about doing that, but right now the green stuff in my wallet is doing most of the decision making. i can feel a difference in throttle response. i seem to get up to speed quicker and easier to. i can also hear my turbo a little bit. you have to be listening for it though, but it is there. i know you guys don't know my dad but even he noticed a diff in throttle response and he also heard the turbo. the engine also has a much more throatier sound to it than before. the biggest thing i was going after was the reported increase in filter life that users of the hypermax kit reported. i was going threw 2 filters a year with the factory intake tube.
