Also if you were to see a few 500-1200 horse trucks perform in person your "not a hotrod" opinion might adjust a little.

Show me a stock 500+ hp obs stroke, and yes it might change my opinion.

My point was simply that the obs trucks arent very quick (215hp) but will pull a trailer quite well.

*** good is a 1200hp diesel pickup? Seems like this whole hot rod diesel craze has given all the non drivers something they could race..like a dyno.

Oh it takes out the garbage, pulls daily driver duties, pulls trailers. Same as you do with any other pickup?

soon there will be stock 500 horses, the 6.7 now puts out 400 and 800 lb ft, and wait until you see the 2015 super duty, its amazing power, cant tell you though just have to wait,

I have heard that the torque output for the '15 PSD is gonna be........well insane for a stock engine.

Been seriously considering a new truck. But sounds like I may have to wait for the 2015's. it's hard to beat a powerstroke (7.3) when for under about a $1000 you can have a 300-350rwhp truck. IDI's are great too. That's why I have both.
