idi parts compatibility with PSD

Hi there,

I have a 1992 idi that is about junk now and I am in the process of parting with. I am debating selling it for pennies or salvaging parts and scrapping/parting the rest out.

My question is: What would be worth keeping off of the idi that would be compatible with my 96 PSD?

If manual the transmission would bolt up to the PSD block

if your ‘92 has the serpentine belt setup then your 3g alternator should be the same except for the pulley, same with the vacuum pump (except maybe the hose nipple orientation. If both trans are auto, the ‘92 could be put in the ‘96 in a pinch but the internals are not as good. The instrument clusters are the same. The idi diesel dash and engine bay harnesses are unique.
