HPOP LINES

I have a question , i am replacing my HPOP lines with new connections that have threads that connect to the new lines. can i leave the spring in the pump or should i remove the spring?? and if so what is the advantage of leaving them out. I am just doing maintenance and not looking for more power. i don't like to ****** my truck in anyway .

IIRC, removing the spring check valves has the same effect as the crossover line mod - it balances the pressure in both heads. It may also allow for higher flow.
