So I got a hold of a 1990 complete truck to steal parts off of for my 87 dually.
My plan is to throw the tranny transfer case and axle under the 87.

This thing is a rustbucket so I was wondering what do you guys use when cleaning these axles up?
A wire wheel and pressure washer come to mind, that's all I have access to right now.

I'll try to get a picture of the axle itself today

That'll probably be really expensive. I like POR15 just because I know it works from first hand experience. But their are also cheaper rust converters out there that work well also.
$200 tops if you don’t knock off the big crud

did you get the outer dually wheels with it? the 4x4 dually wheels are different than the 2wd ones. the BS is a little bit more, mainly gaining you another 5/8 inch or so between the duals in the rear.
