New to the site and new to the world of owning a 12 valve

My truck it a 79 gmc crew cab dually, been planning this build for bout 7 years(divorce screwed it all up) just aquired a 12 valve ffrom a school bus.ID tag reads 8 of 1989. Will use for moderate towing, some highway but mostly in town. would like to see 300 to 400 pony's from it. Engine had bout 160,000 on it and run like a clock. Gotta love the ol 12 valve. Still undecided on the trans. allison 1000 is way out of budget and dont want a stick so prob go with some taller gears, tires and use the 545 allison for now

Just joined! 1990 w250 with 93000. Bone stock, original red over white. Bought it from my Dad 17 years ago. The white trim was pealing (very typical), so its in the shop getting the white re-shot. Awesome old truck. I've towed 9000lb loads from California home to Wisconsin twice no problem! 14 mpg at 55-60. Not bad for the stock 160 hp! Its got the three spd auto with 3.09 axels. Three solid days on the road, and your pretty well beat to death though!

91 4x4. Searched five years for it. Didn't want computer-controlled injection. 300,000 kms and going strong. Changed front brake lines and rear U-joint. Power steering pump seems to need topping off quite often. Gonna drive it until one of us quits. :_)

Hello all! Joined back in March. Haven't quite figured out how to post pictures yet, but I've got a smooth running 90 W250. Built a fresh 6BT for it. Went full retard and spent too much money. Rebuilt the getrag made an oiling system for it. Electric oil scavenging pump with cooler and spin on filter. Puts the clean cool oil on the input and output bearings. The list for the engine: ported head (done professionally), Hamilton oversized valves, dual valve springs, Hamilton HD push rods, Hamilton billet lifters, Hamilton billet torque cam, cam bearings in all the journals, Commetic head gasket, ARP head studs, 20 over marine pistons, gaples rings, ARP rod bolts, gorilla gurtle with 14mm main studs, harmonic fluid damper, southbend clutch kit (custom single disc), balanced rotating assembly, low pressure piston pump, hungry diesel built VE pump and hungry diesel built injectors. I believe they were similar to the 370 marine but 5 hole instead of 4. Also a Holset HE351 with billet wheel and ATS plug. Went for the God Speed intercooler kit. Had to buy some extra silicone hoses. 4" exhaust all the way out. Probably forgot something but that's about it.
