How low to run tank with broke shower head

is there a official write up on how to drop your tanks by yourself? I'm going to need to do this, probably this summer and it would help a lot. I've read a bit about it and it seems like there is a couple ways guys like to go about this. The only reason i'm not offering to write one is because i'm certain I do not know enough to do so.

Siphon out fuel with hand transfer pump, put floor jack under the tank if you can't get most of the fuel out. Unbolt straps while laying on your back and use hands/knees if you need to. Replace broken off rusty bolts as needed.

Thanks. that's what i was looking for. I'm motivated to get into this because I've been switching at just above a quarter tank to try and keep crap out of the FSV. I'd also really like to able to use all of my tanks. I've been looking for a deal on a transfer tank for the bed on CL as well.
