Well this may sound nuts, but the shifter won't be too terrible. 14" from bell to shifter puts it right at the back of the dog house on my 89 e350. A slight angle forward puts it at a comfortable spot

Seems like there would have to be a delivery truck or something with this setup. They couldn't all have been auto's could they?

this can be an example of how you can do a cable, youd have to find a dif place to mount the bracket since this was to a t18. this is from the 71 f250 I had swap to a t18, it never gave me any issues just look around in a junk yard an see what you can come up with. the cluch petal was out 80s ford an the bracket to rod was from a dentside if I remember. the cable can be found in acuras and hondas just pulled it an put it in backwards in the sleave

Whoa, fellas! This is getting way beyond the scope of what I can do now......

This seems like a project to undertake while the van is running. It is currently dead.

So, sorry, not taking this on yet. But, someday..............

DOOOOO EEEEIIIT!!! No Seriously! Not someday, but now!

A cable clutch would be simple as pie to fab and install. Hell even a hydro setup wouldn't be that bad. Just some interesting bending and welding. (Note that I say that without a tape measure in my hand)

If I guy can get a cummins and a stick into one......

Whoa, NTOLERANCE! I've seen a thread somewhere with a 4BT and stick, but this is a different build entirely!

That's one way to make sure the shifter'll be farther back... put a REALLY long I-6 in!

Awesome work on that build. But, it is the earlier E, where the pedals fit. The 92+ like mine, no go.

Nothing but fear and common sense keeping you from it. With a welder, angle grinder and enough time and metal, you can make about anything. ;Sweet

No room for a pedal? Go pre 1940's tractor style... Hand clutch.

Make a cable clutch to a squeeze handle on the shifter.

If you really wanted it te possibilities get endless
