Yes but... The motor will be really retarded on timing. It wont run very well either.... But it sounds great... You just can't drive it...:D

I thought i read somewhere that someone (maybe dps) put bigger injector lines on and that created a kind of loping.

they do that with some sort of electrical trick.it does sound just like a diesel that's been cammed.
we would need a cam with the proper lobe separation to get this lopey idle.-as far as i know anyway.there really isn't anything aftermarket for these idi's,so you'd need one custom built.

take a pair of channel locks. Squeeze REALLY ******* the Number one injector line until it is flat.

That should make it lope really nice.

Are we talking about a lope like a gasser with a big cam in it, or a full on surging like a blown / alcohol motor will do at idle?

Shoot it in the leg? Oh wait.. that would be limp. Never mind.

Why would you want your truck to sound broken anyway? They lope because the timing and fuel supply is all messed up at idle. :dunno

Some people like the "I have more horsepower than I know what to do with" idle. Unless you have to power to back it up I dont like it much.

If you can figure away to make your govenor assembly kind of sticky, it would certainly lope, maybe even to the point of going through some pretty wild RPM swings.
