No Bed For Me!
As someone who has run many miles in both E3s and E4s, that in-frame photo cannot be a van. Dieselcrawler's photo is accurate. Cowl's way more forward in a van.
Also, I don't know when vans started getting Saginaws, but that's a Ford CII pump.
And The Warden is correct..... much of the top of a van engine is nicely accessible, along with the glow plug controller and bellhousing bolts.
IDIDieselJohn did, indeed, do van HGs in-frame. I'm in awe of that.... I can't even get a valve cover off!
