Hi Gina, I took some pics for you yesterday, but I killed my batteries so I had to recharge overnight - anyways, here's some:

I'm sorry the view of the T-ee where the 3 hoses come together ain't too clear, I have the alternator harness and the main vacuum hose zip-tied to it so they're not under the drain of my auxiliary fuel filter. The rest of the pics can be seen here:

The electric plug you mention, is it in the bed, or in the bumper? The ones for trailers usually go in the bumper, and they usually look like a flat plug with 4 prongs, or a big fat round plug with 7 prongs. But if the plug is in the bed it could be for the lights of a bed cap, some have lights in them, mine does - this is a bed cap:

And a bit offtopic, but which year is the Mustang? And best of luck to your Marine!!!

No problem Doug, not at all - honestly at this point I'm still no sure why she can't get heat from the blower, I do think it's vacuum related but I'll wait for her to plug the vacuum hose and report with the results.

That's what it sounds like, low vac= doors may not be opening? If I still had my carcass I could have checked it.

Do you still need the radiator I have? Things got busy, what with having to go back to work and the holidays. Let me know and I'll get it boxed up for you.

Ah crap, I completely forgot about the radiator - well mine is holding up okay for now, and I'm a bit tight on cash due to losing my job 'bout two weeks ago, but if you got some space for it and you don't mind keeping it 'round for a while that would be great - I may have to move ways away from here, and I ain't dumb enough to try to pull a trailer cross-country with the radiator I got now! By the way, was that truck by any chance a factory tow package? The radiators of those have a 5/8" hose fitting in the bottom tank on the passenger side, tis next to the trans cooler ports...

Gina's issue - what bugs me is that I think the blend door in these trucks is cable controlled, so as long as she moves her slider to hot it should be blowing hot - it may not be blowing from the right vents, but it should be blowing hot. I'm thinking she may have heater core issues, these do corrode and plug up over the years, but we gotta take care of the vacuum leak first and go from there.

Yes, it does have that 5/8" fitting on it. I can hang onto it, just wanted to see if you still needed it. As for Ginas issues, I don't know how the Fords work. :dunno

I had the cable actuator wire break on my 82's hot/cold blender door, but it defaulted to the hot based on the air moving past it. My vote is plugged heater core.

Well, seeing how tomorrow I'm performing some plastic surgery to my truck (fender replacement, man this thing is rusted out hardcore), I think I can spend some time upside-down hanging from the seat and try to figure out what exactly goes on under the dash as far as HVAC controls go...

About the radiator, wonder if all radiators have that port, only on the non-tow trucks tis capped off?

Well, as far as the one I have goes, it came of an F350 dually, so I figure it had the tow package. Don't know if the SRW would have it as an option? And the F250 are just girly trucks.:rotflmao

F250s are good all-around daily-driver trucks, but that's it :D

Back on Gina's issue, it is indeed a cable that connects the top lever on the hater control panel to the blend door behind the heater core, here's a schematics of it too:

The place where the cable connects to the blend door is behind the glove box. An easy test to check for possible linkage problems would be to try to move the lever from cold to hot quickly, Gina should feel some decent resistance in that motion - if lever moves very easy and overall feel like tis loose, something may very well be loose indeed. I'll try to take some pics of where the cable connects to the blend door tomorrow, cause tis still snowing now and my truck's buried good.
