What RPM can you guys pull your engine up to?
I just recently got a new pump from Diesel Care and Performance and it seems like it doesn't want to rev how it used to. I wonder if they didn't adjust the governor correctly(this is actually a second pump from them, had to send the first one back as it didn't govern the idle correctly-so that makes me question their work all together...) Anyway the engine seems to taper off at around 2700rpm and practically flat and unmotivated to go any further at 3000. Isn't this like 300 rpm early? This will be a nuisence hauling something something heavy uphill, this is an 86 with 4 speed (3.55 rear) and the gears don't overlap so well. I actually made a turbo setup for this thing just for the purpose of being able to rev this thing high without it smoking like crazy so i can actually shift comfortably in next gear. I was at 10 psi when it hit the wall before 3000rpm, ran relatively strong through the midrange(I didn't increase the fueling yet). Is there a relatively easy way of adjusting the governor? I really don't feel like pulling this pump out again to ship it back to these people
