theres more room on the pass side in all reality i moved the batt and stuff on the fender to open it up for r and d but once done the setup will fit with just the alt regulator moved so it dont overheat
drivers side would be hard due to steering brakelines master cylinder clutch etc.

its more than you think the turbo will mount on the header between the first and second cylinder back this will give room for a 3 inch downpipe behind the turbo
the turbo will get heat sheilds to protect all the plastic though just in case
but like i said eariler it would fit with the ac box even but i took mine off to give more room and better access cause till its fully done itll be on and off a few times
also i plan to sell them once they are done the header will be about 250-300 depending on final cost

here's a suggestion....
downpipes don't have to go inside the frame. on this GM project, I went outside the frame to keep a smooth run.
the heater/AC box was grafted on from a s10 blazer. it pitches the AC evap away from the motor.

I suppose my purpose of showing that chart of cfm flows for different turbo is to show that an hx35 really isn't that ideal of a turbo. A stock PSD turbo flows around 750cfm compared to a hx35's 56x tells me it's to small. 5.9l at 3000rpms requires much less cfm than a 6.9 or 7.3 at 3000rpms.

Probably better than a stock 093 turbo but way better options out there.

FYI in the cummins forums I'm reading HX35's are alright in mild trucks, but in reality anything over mild pump mods and a different turbo is needed.

i'll take a HX35 over the lazy stock ******* I have in my '93 anyday.-cuss-cuss-cuss
do consider a "middle of the road" turbo will not be as laggy on the bottom end compared to one that's focused for ballz out racing.

That's what I'm saying. It will be alright but nowhere near as efficient as others out there.
maybe I should be more specific.
the '93 turbo I'm talking about is the one found on a w250 cummins powered pickup. my 093 on my '92 f350 cc is perfectly sized for what I need the truck to do.;Sweet

86 maybe once i get my setup done i can take a trip up there
and heres why the hx35 rules
you have anywhere from a 12cm to 26cm exhaust side avaible
and you have tons of options for the intake as well with all different ar ratios
then you have the hx40 which you can hybrid giving more options
the 093 is just that only one setup
also the holset series will always be avaible while the ats is being fased out

take a look at a 40/35 hybrid. I had one for a little while on a Cummins and it was an excellent turbo. Super quick spool up, stronger than a 40, and still provided me power up into the 50 psi range. The downsides of the 40's as previously posted is they are easy to break. I've seen at least 5 crash. All it takes is for you to bark it once and it could go up in smoke
