The GoldenRod on my personal truck resides high, dry, and protected within the fortress of one of my many tool-boxes, a luxury those with sheet-metal beds must often do without.

That being said, I would not hesitate for a second mounting one INSIDE THE CAB, probably in the left-rear corner behind the seat.

This is diesel-fuel we are running, harmless as a lamb, not some highly volatile explosive gas. ;Sweet

Sorry but introduction of fuel into the cab isn't a good idea, gas or diesel. Plus servicing it you are bound to end up spilling fuel all over the carpet and what not. With a wife and 2 kids as passengers it's not acceptable. Engine bay suits just fine.

Way back when we was desperate enough to haul :puke: hogs :puke: , we purposefully splashed fuel around in the cab and sleeper of the old Emeryville, and rubbed it under our noses, just to stand to ride in it.

It never did us any harm that I ever noticed. LOL
