So I am lost and need help. 1996 7.3 powerstroke e4od.

I believe all wires are hooked up at the starter solenoid properly. The GPR shows 12 v on the two small terminals when key is on. When key off no power at two sma terminals. The always hot big terminal shows no voltage key on or off. Tried manually supplying 12 volts to it from the battery then testing other terminal and no voltage whether key on or off.

Basically both large terminals show no voltage with key on or off but small terminals seem to be working as expected.

Also, I do not have the proper pcm diode in fuse box. I modified a maxi-fuse currently to crank and test everything. Having trouble finding something that would work. Maybe this is my problem? Know a part number or link to right part?

Somebody must’ve harvested it before I purchased. Never seen engine run.

Any help? I also need troubleshooting on fuel but don’t know if members expect that to be a separate thread. Let me know…

If you supplied 12v from the battery to the hot side of the solenoid and both small terminals show hot, but still no voltage on the output side. The relay is either bad or the base isn't grounded.

As for the diode you can either go to the dealership or hit a salvage yard that has a truck like it.
