When I got it the pump had sealant holding it to the housing. I've never personally took the housing off.

I've never took the housing off of it but it had sealant on the pump holding it to the housing. How hard is to get the teeth lined back up?

There was a thread on here at one point. It sounds like it's really easy IF the entire front end is off your motor. If not (which I'm sure yours isn't disassembled) then you have to use a mirror to find the markings and line everything up. I'll see if I can find the thread here somewhere...

Check into a turbo. I had an '89 with a 5 sp and towed a 22' bumper tow trailer from about sea level to 5000' and I thought I was going to have to have my 3 pre-teen boys get out and push the sucker up the hills. We got home and I ordered a Hypermax turbo kit and turned up the pump. After the install we bought a larger 25' trailer with a slide out and I could accelerate going up Hwy 101 into Willits/Ukiah which is a steep son of a gun. I don't think my current tow vehicle, a 2001 Duramax with a couple of custom tunes can pull as hard as that turbo'd 7.3 did.

I'm going to after I see if the timing gear are lined up. I found an 088 ats from a guy that wants 350 for it and it just needs to be rebuilt or atleast that's what he thinks it needs.

Yes, it’s very helpful in getting a leak free seal.

So as people stated the timing gears where off about 2 teeth so now I get to clean everything up and put it all back together. Everything has a lot of oil build up.
