on my 1997 PSD the rear tank is leaking at the sending unit.

Here’s the thing;
The tank was about 2 years old from my last truck. I used a new gasket from LMC. Not sure if I should’ve used some rtv or sealant around he new gasket. This tank never leaked in my previous truck.

What to do next?

Could put some low pressure air to the tank to verify that's where its leaking.

Air was an interesting test. No leaks found. But as we sat and watched the tank, we could see a leak around the sending unit.
My helper today believes it’s from the lock ring brazing leaking, and when air is supplied it pushed the pieces together so no leak. Hence the tank is leaking itself. I’m not sure, but it’s a theory. I’ve got both else.

Ive got a very similar issue that I need to fix, tried sealants to no luck. And this was a new spectra tank.
