Fuel pressur issue want some input please

So I just picked up a rig to fix and sell I payed 1500 for it its an early 04 bit this is my delema it is unmolested allstock 6.0 with 155k miles I got itvecause the guy didnt have enough money to put injectors in it it smokes at idle like one is hung open and cranks like it too has a hard spot in it on one cylinder but I also noticed one hell of a fuel leak off the passanger side of the motor . has anyone ever experienced low pressure causing an injector to hang open but not fail once started it runs perfect except for the raw fuel its dumping outthe pipe

hasn't happened to me, but yes. Low pressure can cause the injector to fail and one possible failure mode is to dump excess fuel into the cylinder. Rectifying itself while running sounds a little fishy, but I suppose it is possible.

Right now, you could throw quite a bit of money at the injectors/pump/etc and still flip that for > $10K

Thank you I got a set of injectors from gomers diesel iv had really good luck in the past and they have a good warranty I still like to know why or the causes of a failure tomorrow I'm going to put the new sticks in and it might already be sold for 11.5k

I hope its been onto before allthe back bolts on the oil rail were stripped nicely so I had that to fight should be done tomorrow and Monday on to the new owner
