Tim,
Give it some time.
Diesels take a little while to seat.
My truck slurped up the first few tanks too.

I guess the biggest thing that kills me is neither my 03 or 04 did this bad, and yet the 05 was supposed to be a better engine?

frustrating. And I'm going to make a 1300 mile run to Iowa in a week...at 11 mpg...ugh

11.5 mpg. no load other than maybe 1000lbs of chit in the bed.

4x4 dually crew.

Not trying to stir anything up, but it makes me happy that I have a antiquated 7.3l that gets 15.5 to 16.0 in the my CC 4x4 dually.

On a round planet...lots of water
I'm not discounting anyones mileage, or saying some of the bad mpg 6.0l are running right but...
When the advertisements for the 6.0ls came out didn't it say something like a 10% mileage increase? If so, that's only 1.5 to 1.7 mpg increase based on a 7.3L getting 15-17mpg. The way some talk, you'd think they were expecting 25mpg on a similar truck with the 6.0L.... And FWIW, if I was only getting 12mpg I'd be complaining too.
