The pump is cam driven, and fuel can leak past and get in the oil there (though more of an issue for the VE pumped trucks with diaphragm lift pumps).
The fuel injection pump uses engine oil to lube the cam and governor mechanism.
Dripping injectors.

Mechanical lift pump is the issue. Get a FASS or an AirDog 150 and bypass the mechanical pump.
