Is this setup for an automatic or manual truck? Is there a part number on it? Pedestals are different between the two.

as far as I am aware of the pedestal is the same between auto/manual. the difference occurs at the uppipes which this kit is MISSING

When I spoke with Banks last week they said the castings are different for auto and manual, as well as the pipes.

did I preface my comments? "as far as I am aware of" was the starter. if you spoke to Banks......YOU KNOW MORE THAN I DO.
this kit showed up in a box in the cab of a truck. it was not installed. i can't tell you without a doubt auto or manual. I don't sell/install squarebox Banks kits. I do sell them cheaply due to the fact I don't want to have them crowding up space in my shop. Why Banks chose to make a casting specific for a auto or a manual baffles the hell out of me.

Which is why I mentioned that as per Banks there is a difference, so now you know, as does anyone else considering one of these kits. I asked if there is any part number cast or stamped on the pedestal, as Banks would presumably be able to tell what the application is. What I've heard is with their mounting position the manual trans leaves less room so the angle is slightly different and possibly the pipe diameter slightly smaller. Just trying to spread the little bit I know about the early Banks kits and figure out if you have what I need. Don't sweat it though, I'm no longer interested.
