Looking at fitting some full size "wade weston" weathershields I imported a couple of months back. They're the tape/stick on type. No instructions but that usually doesn't phase me. I'm wondering is it normal to loosen the mirrors to fit the weathershield between the mirror & bodywork?

Model# or pics held up to said Windows will help.
Last set I used (no known manufacturer) I had to hand fit.

Cheers Mate

Someone must have a set, give it time...
I will throw a guess out,
Cannot see the interface of plastic weather shield to door\mirror intersection but 2 ways of mounting come to mind.
1 trim shield around mirror(ugly)
2 pull mirror, mount shield and trim mirror to fit back in place, (lots more work)now adj. Mirrors may give you issues... Nevermind the interior trim ya may need to pull to access the mirror mounting.

Call email mfg. For a pdf?, Ask for a tech ph#(yikes overseas ph. Call rates)

Thanks for your ideas.
Will have a look at loosening the mirror & or trimming some of the plastic on the mirror to fit the shield between the door & mirror. Heard of a few which have "blown off" on the highway, at speed, especially with the wind gusts off oncoming "road trains" :cool

Once upon a time they had clips that sandwiches the door and plastic, and the nice ones with a rivnut thru the door.

Been onto the manufacturer, the only instruction diagram they have is for the slimline versions. Useless b@st@rds !

Hooked in on some R & M today. Repaired the left rear fibreglass tail light unit, been damaged since 2014, so finally did a proper job. Fitted both weathershields (as we call them in Oz) today, with my secure lower mounts.
I had to stir the pot & show the passenger side  ;PokeAnother sunny day 35c (95F)
