The first diesel that came home.
I took it for a drive, no problems, got it home parked it, it cooled off, went to start it later and now a fast clicking relay controller.
Replaced entire unit, controller and relay, with a Standard brand product from Napa and same results.
Any ideas?
Motorcraft glow plugs about a year old and 8? thousand miles on them. Probably less.
Thanks in Advance!

While the glow plugs should be good, it wouldn't hurt to check them. A fast clicking relay usually means burned out glow plugs. Maybe one, maybe all eight.

Bad plugs or the wires to them, or the connections to controller or relay are loose if it's like full auto machine gun fire!

Stopid me got to thinking about it just as I was typing it out.
As the air cleaner is off, now the job just got easier. I ignored it yesterday due to frustration. Oh well. Now I have a used good controller.
Just time for more Motorcraft G/P's Hope it ain't swollen up on the head.
