I have the three volume, 2600 pages of dealer manuals for all 1989 Ford trucks and vans.
It seems as though there are no dedicated schematic pages, rather, simplified ones spread out everywhere.
Which is fine if I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue, but no so good for obtaining an overall grasp in order to update the system.
The best info I could find on the ignition system is this little blurb.
The connector on the steering column that goes to the switch.
I'm looking for the complete wiring with related connector pinouts for the start, run, and accessories positions.
I moved the glow plug timer to the front of the engine bay, next to the radiator, as I installed a turbo which would have been inches away from the glow plug wiring.
I want to clean up that cluster of OEM stakons that are bolted to the battery cable at the relay, and instead utilize a couple of relays powered off ignition switch position with terminal blocks to energize circuits as they would be needed, instead of the free-for-all everything is hot and the only thing the relay at the right battery does is send power to the starter.
I realize looking at the little picture that this may not be possible if the note is correct.
But it sure would be nice to have a little more to go on than the above.
I've OCR'd all the manuals, and searching for key words get no results other than this page.
Wondering if someone has some more information?
Thanks
