i found this truck for sale. blown engine. 85 automatic. no turbo.

can anyone tell me if they think this truck is lifted. or just has larger tires.

Im thinking about swapping out my 3.55 axle for 4.10 to help tow this beast. I would be maxing out my car trailer with this beast on it... trying to borrow a gooseneck trailer. I'd also be putting a load on my single cab 2wd truck.

Leave the 3.55s . They'll pull fine just a bit slower off the line.

x2 you will be fine with 3.55s towing that. Remember 3.55s in 4th is like 4.10s in 5th.

I put a fully loaded 98 pathfinder on my trailer and I felt first gear was a little too high. But my truck is running the original injectors with 129k on the clock. I need to replace them asap

I think all my power is gone.

I know! I love the brick nose crew cabs. It has red interior :-/ but its also fully loaded. Towing it home is the only issue

Talk to Danielle on here, she loves red interiors, she has a few of these trucks and probably has a different color interior she'd swap you out for.

That's a slant nose, the brick noses are 87-91. The slant nose crew cabs are my favorite.

I hauled my 93 SRW CCLB 4x4 home on a bumper hitch trailer with the 89 f250 NA IDI super cab I had at the time and that truck had original IP and injectors with around 165,000 miles and 3.55 gears. I only had about 75 miles to go I just took it easy it worked fine slow but I am use to the NA IDI so there is never much speed.

Must be nice to live somewhere that you can find a nice old truck that is not all rusted away! My 93 has more rust than that 85 you just got.
