I read threads I could find regarding this tank installation. My question: Does anyone here know, after modifying the sender pickup and return pipes with extensions provided in the kit, the distance between the bottom of the tank and the terminal end of the pickup tube where the showerhead would ordinarily mount? I did read about extending with vinyl tubing and adding a brass T. Anybody add a section of vinyl with a traditional style strainer? I wont be putting an OEM "showerhead" on it. Initially I was going to just cut a piece of fuel line with a "V" cut on the terminal end. My concern is that the outer casing of traditional fuel line will degrade over time due to submersion. I'm putting this thing back together in 2 days. Thanks in advance for guidance.

It's easy, no need to overthink it. As for the outside degrading I wouldn't worry about it. It'll easily last 15+ years. Cut the positive line about 4-6". The return line use a duckbill. Pretty simple, don't over think it.
