If you are lucky you might be able to find a local scrapyard that will let you weigh for free. If not, I think the local Cat scale here is only like $11 or $15.
If you're going to haul close to GVWR/GCWR the Cat scales will break down weight by axle for you so you know if you're over your axle weight rating or not. If you're pushing the limits that might be good to know!
