I have straight 3" duals on my truck lol amd its loud as hell but big difference from flowmasters lol
Ready for my stacks.
Got them buolt just to busy to install.

my exhaust is stock and i bet its choking the engine
I thought the same thing. I had my "Y" cut out and had 2 pipes welded onto my existing head pipes then to a nice "Y" then 3 inch pipe and a Flowmaster. Did not make a bit of difference in power. Infact I think it hurt the low rpm power. Now It's gotta be turning 2500+ to make any power.

I felt like I gained a lot with the stroke exhaust. Nothing other than the exhaust was changed.
on my 91 I felt a loss in bottom end when I ditched the 2.25 duals. The whole power range felt like it gained enough though to make of for the "lost" of power

I do miss the sound of my 87 being straight piped. It sure did sing pretty when turning high rpms. It is nice to be able to talk to another person in the cab though. Those egts are kind of way higher than I thought they would be too.

Wow those comments make me think NA diesels need back pressure or at least have different power bands based on exhaust style
