Hey all,

So I recently customized my collector pipe to adapt up to a 4" oval transition to 4" Round pipe at the "Y" joint where the pipes are welded together.

What do you all use to seal the flange connection to the manifolds? I used a couple donut things I had in my toolbox but they were a PITA to get to seat right and didnt seem to fit quite right.

These engines did not use any seal in the exhaust. It is a metal on metal seal. If you find you have a leak in your exhaust, copper rtv can seal it and seems to hold up to the heat fairly well.

Well ****, I must've fought those damn donut seals for half an hour. No wonder they didn't want to fit. Odd thing is that when I took the pipes off, a thin crushed seal fell out of them. Oh well. I'll get some high temp gasket stuff and redo em.
