Hi. New to site. Sorry post is so long. I have an '02 F250 with a Banks Powerpack system in it. I had an incident where when I was hauling my fully loaded 33 foot toy hauler down the highway at about 65mph + last year, the engine made a popping sound, then motor shut off, clicking sound, and all dummy lights on dash came on. I did not have my CPS replaced yet at the time so I thought that was it for sure. Turns out after investigating, it was one of the Engine Control fuses located in the under dash fuse panel. I replaced the fuse and haven't had any problems since, but I don't think I've used the tow hauler since then. Just recently took another trip with truck and toy hauler and blew 5 of those fuses on the way, and 5 on the way back (about a 250 mile trip one-way). Each time it happens, it seems it's only when I'm under load (hauling), and perhaps when I hit a bump? Each time requiring to pull over, shut down, replace fuse, and everythings back to normal. Has this happened to anyone else out there? Is it a short? and if so where might it be? Thank you in advance.

Thanks H2odrx, I looked it up and it's fuse # 22. The fuse box contains two engine control fuses. One in # 22 and one in # 23. Both are 20 amp mini fuses. Its always # 22 that blows.

22 is the heater on the OBS i'm not sure on the SD?

I was thinking the fuel heater was on the same circuit and they have been known to short out
That was where I was going too....:dunno

It might pay to unhook the fuel heater and see what happens?

#30 fuse --located in under dash fuse panel....also powers the IDM..

Only blowing control fuse when hooked ...does your toy hauler use the 7 pin trailer plug?

Does it have the 12v constant hot for charging the break away battery?

I would first check/disable the trailer wiring and start there.....
