Look on the valve covers...one of them (I believe the passenger's side, but if the covers have ever been pulled, it could have switched and now be on the driver's side) will have an emissions sticker in the center. The sticker should tell you whether you have a standard or a high-altitude engine.

That said, if your injector pump's ever been changed, it's almost certainly a moot point. The injector pumps on the high-altitude engines were turned down in order to keep from melting the engine due to a lack of air, but most replacement injector pumps are calibrated for standard engines...

Welcome aboard, BTW :cool

Thanks!!

I'm figuring by the hole punched in the sticker by "A185" that it is the 185 HP.

I don't think the pump has been replaced yet. I appear to have a fuel leak so I want to do that soon! I saw a link on one of the forums to a company that sold an aftermarket pump and injectors. Have any suggestions on those (suppliers, make, etc)?

With nearly 2 million miles, maybe it has :point [sig] :D
Bought my pump few years back from DIS. Bought injectors from them too. However, unless their prices have dropped (drastically) my local DIS is about $100 cheaper!

My sister lives in FT Worth - planning to go see her in March, might get with DIS while I'm there - Thanks!!!

While there I've got to go down to Houston to see about some Recaro seats for the Tbird. Might be a veerrry expensive trip!!

It has the serpentine belt. Thanks to The Warden I actually read the sticker on valve cover, it has basically a chart on it showing both the A166 and the A185 with ( ) next to the engine type in the top column. Mine had a hole punched in the ( ) next to the A185. So I'm going with the 185 Hp.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it ;p !
