50$

125 ish

I think the high duty cycle numbers, excellent lift properties, clear fuel bowl, and stainless filter, plus check valve are worth the price difference. But 75$ is 75$

Well, with me not making it to the shop yesterday, and thus not needing the pump right away, I ordered the facet. Cost about the same as the Holley red.

Do you guys all have single tanks? If you have a pusher style electric pump and want to have it close to the tank for best results and longevity, do you install two pumps, one at each tank, with a relay that switches over when you switch tanks? Or are you installing it at the main line out from the switching valve, which may make it tough on the pump drawing from the rear tank? I'm still running the OE mechanical pump, replaced 2 times in 30 years, so I'm never seriously considered this option but I'm asking this question to see how you all apply the logic.

I have a facet so it will lift and self prime from something like 10ft, but while researching I saw several pics of guys mounting them on the frame rail just in front of the tank valve. The best part of epumps is that they purge the system up to the filter with no cranking, which is awesome when you are trying to fix fueling issues or run out of fuel.

OK.. I'm sold.. now the question, who has the best price on Duralift pump? Where do I get one. Online searches show prices in the over $100 range with shipping... surely there is a better deal somewhere?

I went to the local Napa, they've been really good to me. Price will be about $130 when it comes in, but I get a discount; retail 145. They have a few part numbers that have the right psi for our engines; some cheaper than others. I went with the one ending in 223. Might have been able to save a few bucks online, but not enough for me to try.

I'm upset about losing my Napa and ace hardware when I move across town. Both stores are excellent.

40222 is the same pump as 40223 the 223 has packard plugs attached 222 is bare wires. Napa part number for the 40223 is bk610-2400 The best prices I've found were on ebay and sales of seachoice branded pumps on a couple marine site. I posted 2 links a few posts back. I really like the fact it is under the hood and I can see it is full of fuel.

This post has turned into a wealth of pump part # info, yall are awesome. This is exactly what I was looking for, despite the fact that I ended up just buying a facet from Napa (something came up and I had time to wait; really like the detail in the tech article on here so said screw it I'm doing that). Hopefully it will help someone else out too. There are about five options in here and various price points/ mounting locations possible. I'll throw a pic of where I'm putting my facet when I get it in.

The install thread in the knowledge section for this install is absolutely outstanding. I ordered the exact parts needed based on that thread and spent very little time on the whole electric pump install, without having to go back to the store for something I forgot. Turned key, pushed the 'bleeder' on the fuel filter until I saw diesel, cranked for about 20sec with the injector lines cracked, tightened em down, and it jumped right to life. Love it.

I did mount mine in a different spot. Versus making a bracket, I found a spot by the passenger battery tray that seemed to be to be tailor made for one of these. It is even right by the hard fuel line for the mechanical pump, and it is post my water separator/filter. Plus up near the front of the engine bay like that it is quiet.. not that you can hear much over the motor haha.

Cool choice of mounting locations, but doesn't it block access to the lift pump:rotflmao Pretty cool how fast these epumps purge the air out of the system, I ran on a dry tank last week and it took 30 seconds for all the air to purge out of the lines. Then another 15 seconds to fire. VS 15min of cranking and cussing interspersed with battery recharging. Gotta love it.
