i was curious if an electric fuel pump would work for filtering wmo? i was going to setup up a couple filters for it to push through but i didnt know if an electric feul pump would have enough grunt to push it throught the filters or if it would hurt anything or what would happen? just wanted some opinions so i can get my filtering setup going with how these fuel prices are.

You know, I have the same question. I was looking at a Airdog and Super Dog by Raptor High Performance Pumps. Check out www.pureflowtechnologies.com

I was thinking about an outside set up, for making fuel. Taking some electric fuel pump that could handle the viscosity of used motor/veggie oil, and either push and/or pull the fluid through enough filters to have a finish product to run in a IDI truck. I have written to two (2) companies, and asked them abut their product, and what I had in mine. Right now I am waiting for a response. I will share it, if and when I hear from them.

air psi is works better to push oil through filters than and electric pump but i dont see why it might of burned up my pump unless i got a bad one but i got it replaced though

i am just going to use a 12V 15gpm pump and transfer from a dirty tank to a clean one than to my truck because the clean one is going to be on my truck than i can gravity feed from my onboard tank to trucks fuel tank i am going to use a pre-filter/water seperator than a fuel filter both "RAYCOR" style originally designed for aviation fuel.

Raycor? That sounds cool. I'd like to know more about the Raycor, do I just google the name, or is there a company I should know about??

I would stay away from 12v pump for filtering, I rather use a regular 110v pump or even use compressed air in a tank that will be much faster and provably effective.

id agree it really ******* the pumps to try to push or pull them throught lets say 2 filters 10 mic or a 2 mic its just ******* them
i use air psi and its efective and really simple to set up
