Egr delete???

Ok so,this truck I'm putting a motor in is turning 8nto a hassle.first motor had a bad oil leak.customer found another motor but has the egr delete already done.

Do I need him to get a programmer or something to run it? I'd hate to put it in and find out it wont run ir something.

Would have been easier to keep the same thread. I'm not going back to search.
If it's a 03, having the egr gone wont set a code. You can no longer "turn off" egr with a sct or bully dog device. You will need custom tuning.

04+ will need tuning like I mentioned in the other thread. You could just put the egr on from the leaker on this engine if they are the same year, but that’s kinda a step backwards knowing these 6.0s

So I'd just have to put the valve back on it or the whole egr system?

I'm not familiar with the 6.0.im a 7.3 guy

Early 04,had an 03 motor in it.

Zip tie the egr valve to the side, and leave it plugged in. Does not need to be bolted in.
