Yes that was of the top of my head with no Googling..
Pretty sad hu,..

Yeah, it really sucks you knew that...:) I was just scrolling down to post it too, also...no googling! Ask me what I did yesterday, I'd have a tough time telling you, but lyrics I've heard seem to stay forever!

All right, I'm in. We'll be in Lisbon on Thursday night through sunday sometime. I can make it over either Friday or Saturday. Let me know which.

Barney, Russ will confirm but i think he's hoping to be here friday night thru saturday so saturday would probably be the day you'll want to come.

Rob did you get a new gasket for between the tranny and transfer case? All packed up and ready to head out. Should be there around 7 pm or so.

You can get converter nuts from Ford or your local tranny shop. You can use nylock nuts if you can't get OEM. They will work fine.:D
Toss the old nuts in the trash. Never reuse them.

Why not reuse the nuts, I have never replaced them unless damaged or wont "lock" and have never had a problem ,and I have done a few hundred ford trannies. The biggest problem I have seen is using a socket that is chamfered deep and it rounds the nut, I have a special socket cut back to the chamfer so it gets a full nut grip.

Hopefully the guys will have pics to post soon. The atf was blacker than motor oil and smelled like burned electrical components. Plus, the torque convertor was just like a really exciting present under the tree. Lots of parts clanging together when you shook it.
