dies anyone know if the sock turbo came factory wrapped with a sort of heat shield from the factory ?
And what model number turbo came on the truck ?
Its the K vin IDI pre powerstroke and i cant find not ine youtube video that addresses the model of turbo on these trucks.

Yes it came with a heat wrap from the factory, it’s pretty much just thick rib foil. The turbo is a To4B H3

Thanks , I was told it was a T038 ????
Got a reputable place to send it in for a rebuild ? I live in Ca but willing to ship anywhere.

Tp38 was the obs powerstroke so you were told wrong. I can take care of turbo rebuild or Mel and Russ can as well

Well, since we are talking.... i will send it to you since you been kind enough to answer my questions. Just send me the name of shop and address,
Also maybe an estimate of what i can expect to pay.
Nothing wrong with the turbo that i know its just never seen a work bench since 94 i am guessing

Generally a rebuild is in the $300-400 range with no upgrades. Ww2 can be added for $200.
