E4OD IDI transmission with billet converter

I bought this as a backup for mine. Looks like it’s out of a pre-1992 as it’s got the rod linkage not the cable shifted linkage. It’s comes with a billet converter, which is the reason I bought it. I’m certain it’s been rebuilt, I will attach the tag from the converter. I assumed if somebody put a billet low stall converter in it that it has all the internal updates, but I planned to pull apart and inspect.

Going a different route and just going to get mine rebuilt if/when it fails.

Asking $750, located near Indianapolis.

Bump. I still have a good used E4OD with a billet converter. I'd love to see this go to a good IDI home as it has the four bolt IDI specific converter. Make me an offer, it's on a pallet and easy to load into the back of a truck in northern Indianapolis.

Honestly, I did not look or research, are the rod/cable shift interchangeable?

Would you be willing to separate the converter from the trans?

My brother’s 50th surprise bday is in Prospect ME, and my mom wants me to bring the van. We would road trip that way CO-SD-MN-?????-ME.
