Hey guys, some of you might know me from Superduty Diesel website. To the rest, I say howdy.
I have a question regarding my Dad's 2006 Duramax (super sweet truck, engine, transmission combo, by the way, really puts my 7.3 and ZF-6 combo 99 F-350 to shame, and he is getting hand calculated 20 MPG, to boot!)
Anyway, every rose has it's thorn, and this particular truck has a big one, in the form of a measly 26 gallon fuel capacity. I have 40, so I have him beat there, at least!!!
Can an auxiliary tank be added under the truck? Can the factory tank be replacd with a larger tank? Or is he stuck putting a tank in the bed? He tows a 28 foot Silver fox 5th wheel all over Heck's half acre, so he'd really like to have some additional capacity. Thanks in advance!
Oh, BTW, the truck is a 2006 duramax with 6-speed allison 4x4 crew cab short box.
