New to the group

I jave some questions about a dt466b model.
I know the engine is a 1986.
I have the bellhousing that has the rear main seal boss cast onto the belhousing itself. And it has a aluminum pan that atatches to the bellhousing.
My question is can i run a different belhousing and a stamped steel pan? And if so where do i start looking?

I would think that it wouldn’t be an issue, you would just have to buy the rear main for whatever application the bell housing you are swapping in is from.

I learned my lesson.
for the record, he had a badass F700, and was a Afgan vet.
who knew he was a wack job,
turned out he popped up other places too, running people off the road.
dude went loonie tunes.

You just never know.
And not to get this too far off, but... oddly quite a few vets where I'm at. There's this one guy that says he was in the core 9 years. He's obviously fairly messed up. More mentally than physically.
This other young AA kid claims he was in also. His exact words were "we both did the same stuff, that ain't what did it." Mind you, this kid told me he was a cook......

eah, he wont care we go off topic. lol
ive known this guy since 92.
ive got the privilege of calling this ***** my brother.

we looked at copying my NGD adapter to his. but that rear main and the back oil pan mount
really screw that up.
carson's adapter plate is really the way to go, 3 birds 1 stone.

Yeah i am thinking that is the way to go. One shot one kill. And its clean too. Looking for that parts truck to pop up so i can decide on what adapter to get.
