Hey all, I have been working on cleaning up my 94 super duty idi and the lug nuts look to be in sad shape. The rears are OK looking on one side, crusty on the other, missing one. The fronts look miserable, missing alot of the chrome caps, some of them have two regular nuts double stacked on them, etc etc. So im looking at getting new lug nuts. Anyone have any suggestions?

Also - Anyone have suggestions on those big spiked lug nuts that I see on tractor trailer trucks?

No clue on where to source the pointy ones, a lot of the semi trucks use covers over normal nuts, which require removal before removing the nut. I hate the 2 piece nuts though, because the nut corrodes and swells, which makes it a pain to get the cover off. Most oem cars and trucks use a similar nut, with a chrome cap over a steel nut(2 piece nut), but you don't remove the cap before removing the nut. Those are the worst, so get 1 piece nuts and forget about it. Dorman is a big manufacturer of that design.

I recommend to people when they're replacing sets is to get them off the internet - ebay or amazon. The parts stores have good ones, but they're typically 5 bucks a piece, or more. That gets salty when you're installing 32 of them.

Got it, so this is my rear, has the big bell spacer under it and im not sure where to find a longer sealed or spiked version or if there is a cap that can be put over these. I dont like the idea of the stud threads being exposed all the time.

Why not just get a set of simulators?
They look a whole lot better, and can still be bought new for the super duty

The truck actually has simulators on the front, not sure if they make them for the rear but I will look into simulator spikes as well.

They have them for the rear. I actually have the two rear simulators off the f super duty parts truck I have. Let me know if you want them. They are yours if you pay the shipping.

Using the USPS calculator, it appears to be around 10 dollars. My zip is 17327 if you want to double check it because I may have messed it up,lol

Depends on how big the package would be, a large flat rate box is 21.99$ which I would be fine with anyways. I will send you a PM and sort out the details.
