So, this doesn't have to do with diesel trucks, gas trucks, trucks, cars, chainsaws, wood chucks, or Chuck Norris, but I really wanted to share these pictures. Not because I need an "ad-a-boy" or anything else, but for several reasons this could be very useful information on multiple levels.

You can buy a kit to do this called "the Gold Finger left hand throttle" and still have to fabricate it to your specific machine for about $120 or you can round up some stuff around your place and make the same thing. The pictures explain everything. It's a bicycle brake and some 2" angle thoughtfully modified for my wife's 4 wheeler. It's a Yamaha Grizzly 125 that she uses around our place to get around. She's extremely left handed and has a really hard time with the thumb throttle. Making a lever like this leaves the right hand thumb throttle undisturbed and functional while adding a left hand trigger throttle.

Enjoy -

And the finished product, except I did pull it all apart and paint it. And I zip tied the cables together to clean it up.

Nice work JF. The lefty throttles were popular on mountain snowmobiles in the Northwest, particularly for sidehilling. Way to show off your hoarding and fabrication skills ;Sweet
